FROSTPUNK LORE GENERATOR
The goal was to find any British Science Expeditions' Research Sites that have Heat Generator Towers and rebuild civilization. If you've not already had (and caused) your fill of tragedy and disaster in Frostpunk, you might want to check out the fate of another doomed settlement in the apocalyptic survival manage 'em up with a new free expansion released today. Ships, Land Dreadnoughts and other forms of transportation were built or confiscated in order to transport as many refugees, many of them high class citizens, as possible to the far North. With no option left, the British Government order the complete evacuation of London and rest of its country. With Mother Nature fallen into complete disarray, an apocalyptic ice storm came from the south, devouring all in its path, cutting off all communication and travel between England and rest of its Empire. The other plan would involve sending Ships and Land Dreadnoughts with refugees to the farthest reaches of the resource-rich North, where members of the British Science Expeditions have finished the construction of heat-bearing Generators, where a chosen few could survive safe from the chaos of crumbling civilization. In an attempt to save the Empire and it's people, British Government came up with two ideas, the first one involves sending many ships with refugees to their southern colonies in South America, the East and South Africa, India and Australia were it is warmer. Many countries tried to calm down their people or ignore these problems until it was too late or too big to handle, as anarchy erupts and man turns against man over the last remaining resources, civilization slowly crumbles underneath the growing weight of snow and ice. Many Southern Countries did not have the time, money, resources or even the infrastructure to handle such a massive influx of refugees. As days become months, millions of desperate people fled south in search of warmer weather and food, but they met only chaos, famine and death. As crops start to fail, people began to starve.

Meanwhile in England and the rest of Europa, things are getting bad to worse. Many of these British research outposts were equipped with Heat Generator Towers for long term study to discover what caused this phenomena. The United Kingdom and several other countries sent out expeditions to the North to find out what was going on. First it started out with strange weather patrons, frost during summer, killer snowstorms in the northern counties, never-ending rain storms in the Sahara and an ever increasing drop in temperatures worldwide. In the summer of 1886 the Great Frost began. Many other counties tried to make their own Automatons or even try to reverse-engineer them with mixed results, while others simple bought Automatons from the British. These huge, steam-powered machines were are the pinnacle of human engineering before the Great Frost and massive boon for British economy, which propel them to become the world's first superpower. Through a combination of complex clockwork mechanisms, advanced computational engine and the powerful steam-powered engine known as a Steam Core, these metal behemoths were born. We only know that Steam Cores became a massive boon for the British Empire and the technology was adopted by other countries, such as the United States.ġ822–1886 (63 BGF – Year 0) - Birth of the AutomatonsĪlso somewhere between 18 the giant steam-powered robots known as Automatons were invented.

Somewhere between 18, the Steam Core was invented by someone whose identity is unknown.

Over the decades Charles Babbage's Analytical Engine continued to be improved and smaller with each generation by other scientists and engineers until a new type of Computational Engine was invented that is capable of fallowing orders and preform complex tasks.ġ822–1886 (63 BGF – Year 0) – Inventing the Steam Core Which was a mechanical "general purpose computer" and the world's first computer in the World of Frostpunk. With the success of Difference Engine, the English government increased Babbage's funding and help from his fellow mathematician, friend and corresponded Ada Lovelace allowing him to build the successor to Difference Engine, the Analytical Engine. The project, funded by the English government, was a failure in our timeline, but in world of Frostpunk Babbage succeed in building his Difference Engine, an automatic mechanical calculator designed to tabulate polynomial functions. In 1822, the English mathematician Charles Babbage conceives of a steam-driven calculating machine that would be able to compute tables of numbers. 1822 (63 BGF) – The Triumph of Charles Babbage
